The story of the influences and inspirations that go into Brooklyn Lacrosse, as told by Cofounder and Executive Director, Khalid West. Shot and directed by Idris Solomon and picked up as a feature story in the NYC Short Documentary Film Festival for 2020.

With the growing popularity of lacrosse and lack of field space in urban environments, Brooklyn Lacrosse Club co-founder Khalid West is bringing the sport to New York City's handball courts.

Founded in 2012, Brooklyn Lacrosse was created with the mission to remove the traditional barriers of entry (cost, logistics and perception) that urban kids face in getting involved in lacrosse. Brooklyn Lacrosse has quickly grown into Brooklyn's largest lacrosse organization, fielding 15 teams with over 500 players this Spring. www.brooklynlacrosse.org
